Our Partners

What Partners Say about Our Work

“Over 76% of residents in our community earn less than 1 US Dollar a day, and unemployment stands at 75%. GUIDE’s SRHR Empowerment Program has made significant steps in addressing these socio-economic challenges because the re-usable pads are nearly 3 times cheaper than disposable pads”,

Alice Akulo Community Development Officer Lotuke Sub County.

“Women no longer spend four hours each day collecting water, so they have more time to be with their children and to tend to household responsibilities, thanks to water basins constructed by GUIDE in our village”,

Sarah Kwucwinyi A resident of Rero Village in Nebbi District

“Here in Moroto, the District Women Councillors influenced council to pass local ordinance requiring the local government to support the establishment of Gender Based Violence (GBV) shelters. This has been integrated in the 2023/2024 district budget to be financed annually for the next five (5) years. This was after a GUIDE project which strengthened policy knowledge and advocacy capacities of grassroots women and girl leaders”,

Andrew Lobot Moroto District Vice Chairperson

“Women Councilors successfully lobbied for allocation of UGX 130,500,000 in the FY 2023/2024 budget towards the upgrade of the maternity ward at Bweramule Health Center III owing to budget advocacy skills and exercises facilitated by GUIDE”,

Mugweri Charles LCIII Chairperson Bweramule Sub County Ntoroko District.

“Women in our village can now irrigate approximately 270 hectares year-round, and their crop yields have increased by almost 50 percent, thus their incomes and food security. They are now more resilient to climate change, thanks to the solar irrigation infrastructure support by GUIDE”,
