About Us

Great Lakes Union for Inclusive Development (GUIDE) is a membership not-for-profit NGO providing development and humanitarian assistance for marginalized communities in Uganda. GUIDE is registered with the Uganda National NGO Bureau under registration number MIA/NB/2018/11/2331. Headquartered in Uganda’s capital Kampala, GUIDE works to promote peace, governance and development processes that are sensitive of, and respond to, the needs of vulnerable societies, including women and girls, youth, elderly, persons with disabilities, sexual minorities, refugees, and ethnic minorities. Since 2010, GUIDE has also been strengthening the capacities of these groups to participate in governance and socio-economic transformation, and to address conflicts in non-violent ways.
